Patricia Bragg, Natural Health Foods Industry Leader, Dies at 94

Patricia Bragg, health industry pioneer and CEO of the Bragg food company, died at age 94 on August 10 in her Goleta, CA home, according to a post published to Bragg’s official Instagram account.

“Patricia was a true visionary who transformed the lives of millions through her work in health [and] wellness education and nearly five decades as our company’s CEO. She was a mentor, a friend and a groundbreaking woman in wellness,” the post reads. “Her legacy lives on in our mission to help everyone live more vibrantly every day.”

Born Patricia Pendleton in 1929, Bragg was a California native with passions for health, nutrition and environmentalism. She married Paul C. Bragg in 1952, and although their marriage did not last, their business partnership continued until his passing in 1976. She honored his legacy by taking over Bragg Live Food Products, continuing her leadership in the natural foods movement and promoting the Bragg healthy lifestyle.

She also established the Patricia & Paul Bragg Foundation in 2019, “to deepen her life-long commitment to building healthy communities” and improve the lives of people, animals and the planet. She co-authored of many of Bragg’s books, including “The Miracle of Fasting: Proven Throughout History;” “Bragg Healthy Lifestyle: Vital Living at Any Age;” “Super Power Breathing: For Optimum Health & Healing;” and many more.

The company is best known for its apple cider vinegar products and more, which can be found in stores throughout the U.S. In 2019, Bragg Live Foods was sold to an investment group that includes local residents and celebrities Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom.
