On Nov. 3, retailer GNC (Pittsburgh, PA), announced the opening of its new flagship store in the historic Terminal Strip District of Pittsburgh.
The store is the 21st GNC location in Greater Pittsburgh, bringing the total locations to 2,313, according to the company.
The new store is designed in the style of an apothecary and offers an elevated and intrcative shopping experience where customers can easily find products. The new open format will allow for ample product display, moveable shelving, expansive counters for product sampling and spaces for local events, GNC said.
A ribbon cutting ceremony was held on November 4 and was attended by Pittsburgh Mayor Ed Gainey.
During the opening weekend, guests received free GNC and third-party samples including Prime, Alani Nu, Bucked Up, Cellucor and Optimum Nutrition. There was also meet-and-greets with GNC’s health and wellness coaches and a free yoga class.
“Our flagship store is a reflection of GNC’s rich history and commitment to Pittsburgh,” said Nate Frazier, the CEO of GNC. “As part of our focus on creating a cutting-edge omnichannel experience through a customer-centric lens, we are proud to bring this seamless shopping approach to provide exceptional products and solutions that help our customers Live Well.”
