Biohm collaborates with ADM, Swisse’s latest line of nootropics, and other exciting partnerships

U.S.: Biohm and ADM partner on microbiome formulation for women

Microbiome company Biohm Technologies has partnered with ADM to introduce a new data-driven microbiome formulation named Vivifem, specifically designed for women aged 45 to 65.

Developed by ADM using Biohm Technologies’ Symbiont platform, Vivifem combines pre-, pro-, and postbiotics to support healthy aging. The formulation was created based on Biohm’s proprietary microbiome dataset to identify microbiome changes in aging women compared to younger individuals.

The product includes a probiotic blend called Mycosha, prebiotic PreforPro, and postbiotic ES1, all aimed at modulating the microbiome to target specific organisms identified. Vivifem is supported by seven published human clinical trials and numerous pre-clinical studies, according to Biohm.

Australia: Swisse’s new energy range

Swisse, a subsidiary of Health and Happiness Group (H&H Group), is leading Australia’s nootropics consumption with the launch of three new SKUs focused on focus, memory, and stress management.

The products are currently available exclusively at Chemist Warehouse and the brand’s website, with plans to expand into grocery stores as consumer awareness grows.

Kerrie Wade, director of marketing for ANZ at Swisse, mentioned to NutraIngredients-Asia​, “Nootropics have gained traction in the U.S., and we see emerging interest among Australian consumers. As part of Swisse’s commitment to innovation and scientific leadership, we are introducing our own range to trial and pioneer this movement.”

Europe: Probi introduces psychobiotic to Nordic market

Probi AB from Sweden has launched Probi Sense in Sweden, Denmark, and Norway to promote stress relief and mental well-being.

Probi Sense combines zinc, iodine, and magnesium with Probi’s patented Lactiplantibacillus plantarum​ HEAL9 strain, supported by multiple clinical studies showing positive effects on memory, concentration, and fatigue.

Gunilla Önning, senior science manager at Probi, stated, “HEAL9 has demonstrated positive effects on mental health across various populations experiencing different stress levels, suggesting broad support for mental health in various situations.”

Europe: Zooca and Lehvoss UK announce calanus oil distribution deal

Norwegian company Zooca partnered with Lehvoss UK to distribute calanus oil-based products across Europe, meeting the rising demand for sustainably sourced fatty acids.

This collaboration aims to expand the market presence of Zooca’s calanus oil, known for its unique lipid profile containing omega-3, omega-7, omega-11, marine policosanols, and astaxanthin, all sustainably extracted from the zooplankton Calanus finmarchicus.

The red-colored oil has shown benefits for metabolic health and healthy aging. Lehvoss will add Zooca’s capsules and bulk oil formats to its portfolio, enhancing its range of high-quality sustainable ingredients for the nutraceutical market.
