Earth Fare’s Fresh Forum Webinar Series Continues With Heart Health Awareness

This February once again marks American Heart Month, and Earth Fare is offering resources to help its shoppers learn more about heart disease—the leading cause of death in the U.S., according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). This is the natural and organic grocery store’s second installment of Fresh Forum, a free monthly webinar series designed to connect viewers with educational resources spanning a variety of health topics. Last month, more than 800 registrants signed up to learn about healthy detox practices from trusted Earth Fare vendor Garden of Life, the company stated.

The series will continue on February 16, 2023 at 6:30 p.m. EST with Karla Schmidt of Nordic Naturals educating viewers about the importance of omega-3s for heart health due to their cardioprotective properties, as well as how to find a high quality source of omega-3s for optimal health. Schmidt is a certified nutritionist with a bachelor’s degree in food and nutrition and more than 25 years in the industry as a researcher, writer, dietary supplement specialist and private nutritional consultant.

“Cardiac disease does not discriminate, and can affect anyone regardless of age, gender or race. But the good news is, everyone can take simple steps to help protect their heart health,” said Schmidt. “By just implementing healthier habits and taking a closer look at what nutrients we are putting in our bodies, many people can improve their overall health.”
