BGG expands global presence with the opening of new headquarters in Switzerland

The company, based in China, offers clinically supported ingredients for the dietary supplement, cosmetic, and food and beverage industries. They specialize in fruit extracts, marine botanicals, natural vitamins, herbal extracts, and natural sweeteners.

BGG announced an expansion to deepen relationships with international customers and partners while maintaining production and R&D sites in China. The new Swiss branch will join existing sites in North America and Japan.

Operating as BGG World, the headquarters in Basel will be led by newly appointed CEO Jürgen Nelis.

“As we globalize our structure and model, we are investing in our commercial organization,” remarked Nelis. “We are hiring sales managers in Europe and the U.S. to double our customer-facing resources. BGG continues to invest in assets and human clinical trials.”

The modern facility reflects BGG’s commitment to research and development in functional foods.

Thomas Adler, BGG’s new global commercial director, believes this overhaul signals a commitment to excellence and innovation in natural ingredients, ensuring growth and success.

Product portfolio growth

The herbal supplement market is expected to grow by 7.6% annually from 2024 to 2034, reaching a revenue potential of $194,859.4 million. BGG is responding to the increasing demand for natural health solutions.

BGG World plans to expand into the food ingredient sector, enhancing current offerings like stevia and licorice extracts. The company aims to innovate across dietary supplements, cosmetics, and food ingredients.

BGG’s product range covers health categories such as antioxidants, beauty, digestion, heart health, and immunity. Some key products include AstaZine, ApplePhenon, CyaniMax, FucoMax, MyrtiPRO, TheraPrimE, and ThinOgen.

Chunhua Li, BGG’s founder and principal shareholder, stresses the importance of their technology platforms and ongoing clinical trials for sustainable business growth.
